What is the difference between touch and touchless models?
Touch models (C-4000-T and C-4000-CT) use physical push-button controls to dispense water. Touchless models (C-4000-T-T and C-4000-T-UC) use infrared wave-of-hand sensors for completely hands-free dispensing — ideal for shared spaces where hygiene is a priority.
How do you decide between 3-stage and 5-stage filtration?
We assess your building's water quality and automatically install the right filtration for your location. 3-stage filtration (sediment, pre-carbon, post-carbon) works well for most NYC and NJ offices where municipal water is already treated. If your building has older pipes, higher TDS levels, or contaminants like lead, arsenic, PFAS, or nitrates, we install 5-stage reverse osmosis with a mineralization filter that removes up to 99% of dissolved solids and re-adds healthy minerals for balanced pH and great taste. You don't have to figure it out — we handle it.
How often do filters need to be replaced?
Filters are replaced every 12 months. These are commercial-grade cartridges built to handle daily office usage. Our service team performs all filter replacements and it is included in your rental price — you never have to touch a filter or pay extra.
What does UV self-cleaning do?
The UV self-cleaning system uses ultraviolet light to sanitize the internal water pathway and tanks automatically. This helps prevent bacteria, mold, and biofilm buildup inside the machine between uses — keeping your water clean without manual cleaning.
Can the countertop model fit under standard kitchen cabinets?
Yes. The countertop models (C-4000-CT and C-4000-T-UC) stand just 17.7 inches tall and fit comfortably under most standard 18-inch kitchen cabinets. They are 12.2 inches wide, so they take up roughly the same counter space as a coffeemaker.
